Druid and Garry Hynes are no strangers down under. Druid brought Martin Mc Donagh's The Leenane Trilogy to Sydney Festival in 1998 and Garry Hynes directed a Sydney Theatre Company production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane in 1999. Druid had a 'presence' in Australia earlier this year with the Hits Production extensive tour of Geraldine Aron's My Brilliant Divorce (a Druid commission). Druid previously visited Sydney Festival in 1995 with Vincent Woods' At The Black Pig's Dyke and in 1987 with The Playboy of the Western World.
