DRUIDSYNGE is the title of a unique celebration of the work of John Millington Synge which involves the staging of all his dramas by the company over a two year period. The first production of this extraordinary project - Synge's masterpiece The Playboy of the Western World will open in Galway on February 10th followed by a run at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre from February 23rd. Further dates will be announced in the coming weeks. The principal roles of Christy and Pegeen Mike will be played by Cillian Murphy (Intermission, 28 Days Later, Disco Pigs) and Anne-Marie Duff (Magdalene Sisters, Amongst Women). They will be supported by The Irish Times/ ESB Theatre and Tony Award winning creative team of director Garry Hynes and designer Francis O'Connor.
