Production History

About the Tour

After a critically-acclaimed Irish tour, and 3 performances at the Pepsico Summerfare in New York, Druid returned home with their production of Conversations On a Homecoming.

About the Play

The time is the early seventies and the gathering together of old friends has been prompted by the return home of one of them after an absence of ten years. It becomes clear in the course of the evening that the years have wrought changes in all of them, particularly in regard to their attitudes to the absent of the pub, J.J., a man who had greatly influenced them in the past.
