For the second consecutive year, Druid is offering emerging artists rehearsal space, mentoring, office space and professional development as part of FUEL: Emerging Artist Residency. Last year saw Galway company Thereisbear! produce a new play by Peter Hubert Shine, No Show, over their four-week residency at the Mick Lally Theatre. This year, we are shaking things up and offering shorter residencies to more artists: one, week-long residency to four separate artists or companies.
Applicants must be resident in Galway, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare or Mayo, have been involved in realising a performance in 2013, 2014, or 2015, and have a well-considered idea that could be developed during a residency period.

FUEL is part of Druid’s on-going commitment to artist development, which includes the Masterclass series at NUI Galway, Druid Debuts – staged readings, and premiering the work of emerging and established playwrights.
