Druid is now taking applications for FUEL: Emerging Artist Residency 2015. This year’s residency will differ from last year’s in that it offers four separate artists or organisations one week-long residency each at the Mick Lally Theatre.

What is being offered:

• Rehearsal space in the Mick Lally Theatre (MLT), Monday to Friday, 10.15 – 17.45
• A two-day workshop series with professional theatre artists
• A small stipend
• Access to office facilities for the duration of the residency
• The opportunity to show your work to peers and / or the public
• Support and advice where requested from Druids and associates.

Residency Dates:

16th – 21st November
30th November – 5th December
7th – 12th December
14th – 19th December

Eligability Criteria:

• Applicants must be resident in the West of Ireland (Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo or Clare)

• Applicants must be available to base themselves in Galway for the designated residency week

• Applicants must have been involved in the realisation of no less than one theatre production in 2013, 2014 OR 2015

• Applicants must have a stage worthy, well thought-out idea ready for a development period in November – December 2015

• The proposed piece must NOT have been previously staged by the company / artist

• Applicants agree to a short, work-in-progress showing on the final Saturday of their residency

• Applicants must be available for a two day professional development workshop at the end of October

Application Guidelines:

• Applications will close on Friday 23rd October 2015 at 5.00 p.m. Please note: late applications cannot be accepted

• Successful applicants may be called for an interview in person or by phone, in late October / early November

• All sections of the application must be filled out. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
