The Pursuit of Pleasure 1981 - Galway

Samuel Beckett

One of the most popular plays in the company’s repertoire, The Pursuit of Pleasure, a musical revue, is based on those aspects of Oscar Wilde’s life which became part of the public imagination. This play won a Scotsman Fringe First Award at Edinburgh last year, where the ‘Scotsman’ Newspaper commented: “This may very well be the best show on the life of Wilde since McLiammoir’s The Importance of Being Oscar …it is witty, entertaining, celebratory, and comic..”
