Hancock’s Last Half Hour 1981 - Galway

Heathcote Williams

One of the hits of the Dublin Theatre Festival last year, this one-man show stars Vinnie McCabe as Hancock, and is directed by Garret Keogh. It deals hysterically and tragically with the last hours of comedian Tony Hancock who died in 1968. The show received excellent critical notices in the Dublin press, the Irish Times describing Vinnie McCabe’s performance as “simply marvellous”
