DruidMurphy Receives Seven Nominations in the Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards

DruidMurphy -- Plays by Tom Murphy

Congratulations to all the nominees in the Irish Times Irish Theatre Awards which represent the best of Irish theatre in 2012. To read the full list of nominees in the Irish Times please click here.

DruidMurphy – Plays by Tom Murphy, directed by Garry Hynes received a total of seven nominations. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production – Tom Murphy, Garry Hynes, the cast across all three plays, the entire creative team, crew, stage management and everyone involved behind the scenes. Below are the nominations:

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR – Aaron Monaghan as Liam in DruidMurphy: Conversations on a Homecoming

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR – Gavin Drea as Des in DruidMurphy: A Whistle in the Dark


About DruidMurphy

DruidMurphy – Plays by Tom Murphy, directed by Garry Hynes is a major celebration of one of Ireland’s foremost and most respected living dramatists and tells the story of Irish emigration through three of Tom Murphy’s greatest plays, spanning 1846 to 1970; Conversations on a Homecoming, A Whistle in the Dark and Famine.

DruidMurphy is presented in a co-production with Quinnipiac University Connecticut, NUI Galway, Lincoln Center Festival and Galway Arts Festival.

Druid would like to acknowledge the continued support of the Arts Council in funding this production and also the support of Culture Ireland in funding the international tour.
