Druid is delighted to support a new artist development initiative, Gap Day, in conjunction with Mermaid Arts Centre.
We will host Galway-based theatre maker Emma O’Grady at The Mick Lally Theatre for two days. This fantastic initiative is being rolled out in arts centres, theatres and municipal spaces across the country, giving artists and arts workers some breathing space in which to take stock, dream, reflect and plan.
Druid’s participation in the inaugural Gap Day initiative is a continuation of the company’s commitment to artist development. Druid also runs FUEL: Emerging Artist Residency, Druid Debuts (staged readings of new work during Galway International Arts Festival) and the Druid Ensemble (a core group of professional actors).
