Mick Lally 1945-2010 Druid Founder Member and Actor

All of us at Druid are mourning the passing of founding member Mick Lally who died suddenly earlier this morning. Garry Hynes today said “The mood in Druid is one of total shock and disbelief, Mick Lally was a man without measure. He was my hero and I looked up to him. Druid owes everything to him. If he hadn’t agreed to join Marie and I in the summer of 1975 then Druid would not have existed. Our thoughts at this time are with his wife Peige, his children Saileog, Darach and Maghnus and all Mick’s family.

Mick will be cremated at 2pm on Thursday September 2nd at Newlands Cross Crematorium Chapel in Dublin.
